Norman Regional Hospital has joined the Blue Cross
Preferred Network

Norman Regional Hospital Article with Insure It Forward

It was recently announced on the Norman Regional website that they will be participating in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Preferred Network for 2016.  We had heard rumors but nothing official from Blue Cross and Blue Shield.  The Blue Cross and Blue Shield provider locater now shows The Healthplex on Healthplex Parkway but doesn’t mention the Hospital on 901 N. Porter Ave., Norman Oklahoma 73071, but the announcement on the Norman Regional website* plainly states that the Hospital is included.

Is this news worthy? You ask.

YES!!! Before this announcement everyone in Cleveland County who purchased a health insurance plan that included Norman Regional Hospital or the new hospital in Moore only had 3 options for their Health Insurance

1.  United Health Care Insurance a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO).

2.  Be treated as out of Network with much higher deductibles and no Maximum Out of Pocket

3.  Join one of the Mini Medical Plans out there commonly referred to as a Multi-Plan or Medi-Share Plan with limited benefits and aren't ObamaCare compliant so they would get penalized.

If you live in Norman or Moore and your Health Insurance is not from your Employer, Medicare or Medicaid you are probably effected by this news. The good news it is not too late you can still change your health insurance plan for 2016 as long as you make the change by January 31, 2016.

Any changes you make will not go into effect until March 1 2016.

Remember when you use a local agent you have someone you can go to for help with the big insurance company and most agents don’t charge for their services.  If you would like more information or assistance call 405-585-0648.
